While we all do our part to socially distance ourselves for the betterment of others, we can still virtually come together for group craft nights!
For the foreseeable future, I will be hosting Group Craft Nights. A space where we can come together to chat, commiserate, and work on our current projects while giving ourselves a little space from our under-the-same-roof quarantiners.
Here’s the schedule:
Note that all times are Pacific Standard Time.
Sign up here and come craft with us! Note: Meetings now require passwords. Please check your email (including spam) 2 hours before the session to receive the updated password.
I am also offering One-on-One Casual Coffees! We can pretend we are at a cute little coffee shop instead of in our home offices, living rooms, and bedrooms.
Sign up for a Casual Coffee here!
And if you are looking for some project ideas, you can try these:
Embroidered Baseball Hat
Hand Stitched Rainbow Wall Hanging
“No Space for Negativity” Coloring Page
Scrabble Fridge Magnets
Toy Dinosaur Necklace
Fiber Rainbow Jacket Pin
Iron-on Sock Patches
It’s the holiday season and I truly had high hopes of getting lots of projects and posts out to you guys this year but life had other plans. Instead of devoting all of my time to Christmas DIYs, we ended up BUYING A HOUSE and spending every minute of our free time working on all the fixer upper stuff you could imagine. I plan on getting a big post out to you all that explains all of the house stuff that is going on but right now we’re covered in paint, caulking, piles of lumber, and everything else you can think of when it comes to renovations. So more on that eventually!

One of the reasons that I craft is because it gives me screen-free time. Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of technology, television, and the internet, however, we as a society have started to depend on it as our free-time space. I come home from work, I turn on the tv. I wake up in the morning, I scroll through Instagram. It’s a nasty habit that wastes so much time.
This year, I have really focused on spending my free time doing things instead of observing things. So instead of scrolling to the end of Instagram, then scrolling to the end of Facebook, and then checking Instagram again to see if anything new has happened, I utilize them in a productive way to find active ways for me to spend my free time.
