For me, Angie Chua lives my parallel universe dream life! This California native is legit SO cool. Angie runs Bobo Design Studio, a lifestyle brand all about the bohemian wanderlust life and she fully lives her company’s ideals. She lives in a freakin’ 1975 Airstream with her husband and her dog (who I am also obsessed with) and is an avid traveler living the raddest boho life.

DIY: Make Your Own Macrame Luggage Keychain

We are heading off on a European adventure in a few weeks so it’s time to start my travel preparation. And first thing is making sure that we can spot our luggage at the airport. Our actual luggage is pretty plain, so I plan to spruce them up a bit with these macrame keychains.

Macrame has always felt overwhelming to me. I think it’s because there are so many gorgeous giant wall hangings all over the internet that I figured that was the only way to go, by committing to a huge craft undertaking. But then I realized that a craft is what you make of it, and we all know, I like a small handheld sized craft. So I looked up some youtube videos on the basic knots and within 5 minutes, I was on my way to finishing my first macrame keychain.

This year, I took a big step in my creative life. I attended my very first creative conference. After comparing a few different ones, I decided on Craftcation, a makers conference that I had heard of for many years, but never thought to actually attend. I had this idea in my head that vacation days are to be used for trips to far away lands with new adventures, not for a conference in my home state that would take time away from exploring.
